American Institute of Architecture Students
PROMOTE FOSTER ENRICH ORGANIZE Since 1956, the American Institute of Architecture Students has been the official voice of students to the educational system and the profession of architecture and design. The association helps to enrich the educational experience of students (of all ages) in (or interested in) architecture and design.

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
The purpose of this organization shall be to illustrate the applications of Civil Engineering, so there is a clear correlation between the classroom teachings and real world practice. ASCE shall create well rounded individuals who are well versed in the interviewing process, mentoring young people, and dealing with more aspects of Civil Engineering than just the traditional activities.

Amnesty International
Catholic University’s chapter of Amnesty International seeks to further Catholic University’s mission by discovering, preserving and imparting truth about human rights abuses. We have the need and the opportunity to be a human rights leader in the international community. Our organization follows the Christian understanding and principles of loving one another, forgiveness, and justice, from the person in prison to the abused woman or orphaned child of war or disease. Our organization enhances the treasure of human knowledge as it seeks to educate the campus community about human rights. Finally, this organization strives to serve the Catholic University of America, its community as well as the nation and the world.

Association of Graduate Library and Information Science Students
The purpose of AGLISS shall be to further the academic, intellectual, professional and social interests and relationships of the membership; and to generally enhance the experience of the graduate students in the School of Library and Information Science at the Catholic University of America. To this end, the proper functions of AGLISS shall include, but shall not be limited to: sponsoring speakers, films, discussion sessions, professional development seminars, other presentations, and field trips of interest to its members; publishing a newsletter for its members; purchasing printed and electronic publications and/or subscriptions of interest to, and for the use of the entire membership; hosting a variety of social events, including picnics, parties and receptions; purchasing equipment and supplies to support the programs, activities, events and facilities it offers its members

The class council is a voice for the sophomore class to the Cardinal Student Association. All questions, comments, and concerns of the class are taken to the CSA meetings. Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC)
Puropses Include: (a) to conduct programs and activities to build a vital musical culture and an enlightened musical public for the benefit and the general welfare of all persons (b) to ensure that every student shall have access in school to a balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality program of music instruction (c) to improve the quality of teaching, research, and scholarship in music (d) to promote the involvement of persons of all ages in learning music (e) to foster the utilization of the most effective pre-service and in-service preparation of music teachers. In furtherance thereof, the Conference may hold conferences, symposia, and other meetings; publish journals, books, and other publications; seek and accept grants, gifts, and contracts for any of the said foregoing purposes; and exclusively for the public benefit, use, publish, and otherwise make available to the general public on a nondiscriminatory basis the results of its collection of information deriving from the foregoing activities. The Conference may conduct any and all other activities in accordance with its Bylaws, which are designed to accomplish the foregoing purposes.

Mission Statement The purpose of CUA-CSI is to help students develop a better understanding of the building construction industry through activities related to construction materials and methods, technical design techniques, and project management. There's not much you can do that means more to your professional development than joining CSI (except, of course, going to school here at CUA) . If you're a student in the School of Architecture and Planning or the School of Engineering, you owe it to yourself to check us out.

CUA Equestrian
CUA Equestrian hopes to offer an opportunity for student involvement in an activity that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship. Horseback riding is a challenging sport that produces confidence in both riding and individual abilities. All levels of riding skill, from beginner to advanced, are catered to. Most importantly, the equestrian club gives students a chance to escape the stress of daily life. By traveling to areas beyond The Catholic University of America’s campus we are able to spread the morally upstanding values that are expected of us at this institution. The Equestrian team gives us a chance to apply our work ethic to an area outside of the academic world. It is our hope to apply the skills we have acquired while attending the Catholic University of America to our experiences in other areas of life, specifically, the art of horseback riding.

The Purpose of this organization is to provide a forum to bring together students that are interested in broadening their abilities and becoming more internationally responsible. EWB-CUA will create, apply and then design projects for developing communities or will conduct research on related topics, in alignment with Engineers Without Borders-United States of America (EWB-USA).

Pax Christi strives to create a world that reflects the Peace of Christ by exploring, articulating, and witnessing to the call of Christian nonviolence to the campus community and beyond. This work begins in personal life and extends through our community. We advocate primacy of conscience, economic and social justice, and respect for creation. Pax Christi commits itself to peace education and promotes the gospel imperative of peacemaking as a priority in the Catholic Church. Through the efforts of all its members and in cooperation with other groups, Pax Christi works toward a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world.

Program Board
The purpose of Program Board is to plan and organize diverse events for all undergraduate students. These events are coordinated to entertain students and provide them with events that range from theatre programs to Movies on the Mall. Program Board consists of an executive board of nine members and additional general members. General members work with the executive board to decide upon and plan events. Program Board sponsors four different types of events. These areas of events are CUA Community, Film, Off-Campus and Entertainment.

School of Theology & Religious Studies Student Association (STRSSA)
The prime function of STRSSA is student representation. Representatives from each academic area, the Graduate Students Association and the Washington Theological Consortium address the concerns and ideas of their fellow peers at STRSSA board meetings. Various committee chairs dedicate their time and talents to STRSSA, while select STRSSA board members attend School faculty meetings, acting as non-voting liaisons between students and faculty, giving student reports, advice, suggestions and perspectives. STRSSA also provides opportunities for common prayer, an annual speaker series, socials, and centralized information of interest to theology students. STRSSA is committed to the quality of the academic programs in the School of Theology and Religious Studies, to the search for truth within the graduate theological disciplines, and to nurturing the spiritual, social, and intellectual lives of its members. In all of its endeavors, STRSSA strives to manifest the principles of solidarity, subsidiarity, and collegiality as it serves The School of Theology and Religious Studies and the University as a whole.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is a student run organization that gives student-athletes a venue to express their needs and concerns about their overall well-being, and provides the opportunity to initiate and impact future improvements within the Athletic Department. The primary goal of SAAC is to promote a positive student-athlete image.

Student Nurses Association
To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of health care. To provide programs representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students. To aid in the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life.
