ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP CELEBRATION CEREMONY

The Student Leadership Recognition Celebration recognizes the accomplishments of CUA students who have distinguished themselves in the areas of leadership, scholarship and service. Held annually in April, the ceremony seeks to acknowledge the contributions of CUA students to the campus community. The ceremony also seeks to recognize the unique contributions of administrators, faculty and staff to the university's learning environment. The 2008 celebration will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. with a reception to follow on Tuesday, April 22 in the Pryzbyla Center Great Room.

Awards are conferred by the university, the Cardinal Student Association, the Graduate Student Association, Resident Life and Career Services. In addition to fulfilling the unique criteria of each award, the recipients also demonstrate a commitment to the unique mission and purpose of CUA.

Recipients of the 2008 awards will be chosen through a nomination and application process open to the entire CUA community.  Students who are nominated for an award are notified and asked to submit an application. Award winners are selected by a committee of university faculty, staff and student representatives.
