UCSPE Vision, Values and Mission Statements
The Office of the University Center, Student Programs and Events (UCSPE) serves students, faculty and staff through its various services, programs and the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center that enhance campus life.
The UCSPE works closely with student organizations and their advisers, the Undergraduate Student Government, the Graduate Student Association, and other groups to coordinate a comprehensive program of social, cultural, recreational, intellectual, spiritual, governance and community service activities for the campus community. The office supports coordinated planning of special programs such as Homecoming, student leadership programs, senior week and family weekend.
In addition to program planning and advising, the office schedules all non-class facility requirements for the university, provides assistance with program planning, and manages and directs the Pryzbyla University Center.
Conferences and Event Planning (CEP) is responsible for the University’s year-round conference business and summer housing for students and non-CUA interns. CEP provides student leadership opportunities through its student employment opportunities that provide paraprofessional experience. CEP maintains a close and professional working relationship with a variety of offices of the University including, but not limited to, other offices of the Division of Student Life (especially Housing and Residential Services), Publications, General Counsel, Controller, Facility Services, Campus Ministry, Public Safety, and Academic schools and Departments.
